Following the foundation of HATTAT TARIM MAKİNALARI A.Ş., studies conducted on production of a new tractor which was known in the Turkish tractor market and had service/spare parts opportunities and negotiations started with Tractorul UTB S.A. from Romania.

At the end of mutual negotiations and correspondences, a “Technical Cooperation Agreement” was signed by Tractorul UTB S.A. and Hattat Tarım A.Ş. on 21.09.2001.

According to this agreement, Hattat Tarım A.Ş. would be the exclusive distributor of UTB in Turkey and sell agriculture tractors produced in its Çerkezköy facilities under the trade name UNIVERSAL in the Turkish domestic market.

ASKD type tractor was first imported in November 2001 and necessary operations for production, assembly, test, dealer network and after sale services started, which was followed by the commencement of the phase of Dealership Organization across Turkey. On the other hand, necessary official certifications was concluded; the first assembly operation started in March 2002 and sales of tractors in April 2002. .

The above mentioned UNIVERSAL tractors have 45, 53 and 68 HP power; they are 4X2 and 4X4 models; they are produced with cabins Roes. Hydraulic levers, hydraulic pumps and all other hydraulic equipment used on these tractors are supplied by our sister company, Hema Endüstri A.Ş..

Negotiations started with VALTRA Inc from Finland for producing another tractor series that is more powerful and has the latest technology; and the letter of intend which was dated on 02.07.2002 envisioned production of VALTRA tractors y Hattat Tarım A.Ş. in Turkey and purchase of tractor components and complete tractors by VALTRA from Hattat Tarım.

At the end of negotiations and correspondences, a “Technical Cooperation Agreement” was signed with VALTRA Inc on 27.09.2003.

According to this agreement, Hattat Tarım A.Ş. would be the exclusive Turkey distributor of VALTRA, produce Valtra originated agricultural tractors under the trade name VALTRA in its Çerkezköy facilities and sell them in the Turkish domestic market and the Turkic Republics.

In addition, it has been approved that the “A” type VALTRA tractors are produced by Valtra standards and they will be exported and marketed all over the world by the sales organization of VALTRA Inc . Indeed, as a result of the agreement dated on November, the 13th 2007, HATTAT TARIM became the sale producer of VALTRA A series tractors in the world by August, 2008.

Furthermore, a new tractors series will be developed by cooperation of both firms and it will be sold in both the domestic Turkish market and world markets through the sales network of Valtra Inc.

After the completion of necessary assembly and production vehicles, the production of the “100” and“A” series VALTRA tractors started in June, 2004.

With the use of the complete transaxles and hydraulic systems produced by Hema Endüstri, production of the “A” type Valtra tractors are increased as of March 2006, while the production of “100” series tractors ceased. In the mean time, import of more powerful tractors from Finland and their sales are continued.

In Hattat Tarım facilities, “A”series VALTRA tractors are produced as 74, 88 and 98 HP; they can be with cabinair equipped with conditioning or rops. Transaxles and all the hydraulic equipment used on these tractors are supplied by Hema Endüstri A.Ş.

As required by the “Technical Cooperation Agreement”, an agreement was signed by the parties on 13.11.2007 for “A” series VALTRA tractors that would be produced in Hattat Tarım facilities and exported to Valtra Inc..

According to this agreement Hattat Tarım Çerkezköy facilities will be the sole production center for “A” series VALTRA tractors in the world.

On the other hand, we have started studies on production of a new tractor series by using totally our own engineering know how and production opportunities; the first prototypes were prepared and necessary Type Approval certificates were obtained in August, 2006.

After necessary trial studies, the serial production started in May, 2007.

These tractors are named HATTAT "A" series and have been planned to have 58, 65 and 75 HP versions, as lower horsepower complementary to VALTRA A series with 4X2 and 4X4 drive tyres. Studies on cabins/air conditioning versions of this series are continuing and our HATTAT “A” series cabintype tractors will be introduced to the market in 2008.

In order to export HATTAT "A" series to VALTRA Inc. as complete tractors, studies on necessary changes and fulfillment of customers’ requests have started. The first trial results of HATTAT “A” series tractors sent to VALTRA have been found to be really good. It is thought that it is likely to start export of HATTAT “A” series tractors at the beginning of 2009 if an agreement is concluded with VALTRA Inc. after new designs and changes made in line with the information from external customer requests and the tests.

In the mean time, studies have started on production of a new tractor series which has less power ranges but with more competitive prices as requested by the Turkish market.

The first prototype studies on these tractors named HATTAT "H" series have been completed and their necessary Type Approval certificates have been obtained; the serial production will start in March, 2008.

HATTAT "H" series tractors have been planned to have 45 , 55 and 65 HP power, with 4X2 and 4X4 drive systems and Rops.

HATTAT "H" series will take its place in the market as a tractor type that has every functional opportunity, intermediate powers and very competitive sales prices.

Gardening and farming growing is gaining importance in our country as in the whole world.

In order to add small sized yet highly manauvarable it is special hardware tractors used in this kind of production to the production range, a “Distributorship Agreement” was signed by BCS S.p.A from Italy for Ferrari brand tractors of this firm on November, the 13th 2007.

According to this agreement, Hattat Tarım becomes the exclusive Turkey distributor of FERRARI tractors. Export and sales of this brand of tractors will start as of 2008.

FERRARI tractors have 26 , 35 , 38 , 46 , 64 , 84 and 92 HP power; they are specially designed for gardening; they are a tractor type which is small sized yet multi functional with multiple qualifications.

As summed up above, the product range will have been completed by tractors at different power rates, of different types and qualifications as UNİVERSAL, VALTRA, HATTAT "A", HATTAT “H” and FERRARI so that it is possible to provide the best suitable product for opportunities and requests of customers within a wide spectrum.

In order to meet requests for “Agriculture Equipment”, “Distributorship Agreements” have been signed by leading equipment producers in the world.

Hattat Tarım is the Turkey distributor of various Agriculture Equipment produced by WELGER and ORKEL.

It has an effective place in the market as an Agriculture Equipment dealer in addition to tractor production and marketing.
